Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
You need a Meta Business account and a phone number for the WhatsApp Business Platform. Our setup guide walks you through it step by step; most stores are done in about 15 minutes.
Which Shopify plans does it work with?
Every Shopify plan. easymessage connects through Shopify's official app permissions — no theme changes and no code.
Who pays WhatsApp's message fees?
Meta charges WhatsApp conversation fees directly to your WhatsApp Business account. Your easymessage plan covers the software; Meta's fees are separate and usually small for order updates.
Can customers reply?
Yes. Replies arrive in the easymessage inbox, and you can answer with text, photos, files or voice notes within WhatsApp's 24-hour reply window.
Will customers get marketing messages they didn't agree to?
No. Marketing flows and campaigns only go to customers who accepted marketing in your store, and anyone can reply STOP to opt out.
Is my customers' data safe?
Access tokens are encrypted, data stays tied to your store, and when Shopify asks us to erase a customer's data we delete it. See our privacy policy for details.
